Smart City Expo World Congress
After working with The Port of Barcelona for the Salón Internacional de La Logística (SIL) in June 2018, Broomx joined forces again at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2019, where the initiative Smart Ports, Piers of the Future was launched.
Bringing visibility to port operations
The Port of Barcelona is composed of massive infrastructure. During the Smart City Expo World, The Port of Barcelona, along with six other international ports, The Port of Los Angeles, Montreal, Hamburg, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Busan, launched an initiative to bring visibility to these distinct Port operations.
Exclusive 360 videos
For the event “Smart Ports: Piers of the Future,” each port developed 360 videos to explain their history and how they have been evolving and being digitally transformed.

To fully represent an immersive digital experience, the Port of Barcelona partnered with Broomx to provide a viewing experience for the 360 videos that could be enjoyed by large groups simultaneously.
Immersive digital traveling
As this expo celebrated transformation, we transformed a merchandise container into an immersive space powered by the MK360. This time, the container didn’t transport merchandise across the world, but it transported thousands of congress’ attendees to the world’s most important merchandise ports through immersive digital traveling.
