Klimt: The Immersive Experience

The Ideal digital arts center is a pioneer center for immersive art exhibitions in Barcelona. In his exhibition “Klimt: The Immersive Experience”, which took place between April and October 2021 and celebrates the life of the artist Gustav Klimt, visitors are immersed in the brilliant work of the Austrian author and learn about the context of his life during the XIX century, throughout a tour of different rooms and thematic spaces. This same exhibition opens at the Matadero in Madrid in March 2022, and Broomx will continue to be part of it.

Exclusive and Interactive Space

created by Broomx

Broomx technology was chosen to bring to life “Vienna 1900”, a unique interactive art experience created especially for this exhibition. The Broomx team developed an experience that is inspired by the Klimt style to reproduce iconic buildings in the city, and that allows families to interact by painting different elements such as zeppelins or cars from the Vienna Ferris Wheel, which once scanned are integrated into the immersive experience.

Introducing the MKPro

Such a special event required an equally special device. And in this context, the MKPro was presented, a new line of immersive projectors from Broomx that was used to create the immersive experience in room 3 at Ideal Barcelona. The more than 150,000 visitors to the Barcelona exhibition became artists and made their mark by drawing and seeing their drawings instantly projected onto the immersive depiction of Klimt’s Vienna.

More Power and Definition

The MKPro is the big brother of the MK360. This projector is designed to deliver more power and definition through maximized lumen output that provides more light to better illuminate projection in large spaces. The MKPro allows incredible possibilities for immersion and interaction in multiple spaces.

Immersive Interactions

The success of the exhibition was total, with tickets sold out during the first months and extending its duration for several months, it has captured the interest of other centers nationally and internationally, and the next stop will be at the Matadero de Madrd starting in March 2022. More than 16,000 drawings were created in the first month alone, with an average of 600 drawings per day scanned and projected by MKPro on the walls of “Vienna 1900”, attracting a larger volume of family audiences and school groups. They were very satisfied with the experience.
