Solutions for health workers at Hospital d’Olot
Medical professionals have become saturated with work especially as a result of the negative emotional burden resulting from the global pandemic caused by the COVID-19 which has directly affected their mental health. At Hospital d’Olot in the region of “la Garrotxa,” the immersive experiences offered by Broomx have been used in a study to assess the improvement of the healthcare professionals’ anxiety levels.

Improving the healthcare professionals anxiety levels
Over 60 participants participated in the study. During this period, professionals underwent two tests, one related to anxiety and the other to well-being, under the foundation’s clinical psychologist’s supervision. In the professional and social context of the COVID-19 pandemic, professionals have been subjected to sustained emotional stress. For this reason, hospitals have been seeking new ways to offer services focused on workers’ emotional well-being.
