New applications

Following the success of the emotional well-being project, in 2022 the Hosptial has started a pioneering study to evaluate the use of immersive reality technology as a tool for the rehabilitation of hemianopsia in patients who suffered brain stroke. The clinical psychologist of the hospital, Dra. Marta Linares, created a rehabilitation program using Broomx technology and is carrying out case studies of different patients. “These pioneering sessions in the field of neurorehabilitation allow the visual immersion of the doctor and the patient in different scenarios created by Broomx. The interactions with the elements that are projected in the room is also posible, for example drawing and painting on the walls and the ceiling of the room in order to activate patient’s peripheral vision.”
