An experience to stimulate physical functions

Immersive content such as the “Roller Coaster” is used to incentivize Arrels’ residents to move their arms and interact with the projection, leading them to enjoy an immersive experience as a group that also stimulates physical exercise.

Improving the residents’
well-being

The Covid pandemic has significantly affected the senior community. As a result, many residents haven’t been able to leave the nursing home for over one year, leading the medical professionals to investigate new ways to improve the resident’s well-being. The MK360 has become a solution to their problem.

A refuge powered by the MK360

The immersive sessions powered by the MK360 act as a refuge to the residents since they can contemplate landscapes, go sightseeing around the world or visit places close to home, which instigates their emotional memory. Such experience enhances their cognitive functions and the connection with fellow residents and the medical staff.

Exercising mind and body

At the Arrels nursing home in El Clot’s neighborhood, the MK360 has been used by occupational therapists to create interactive activities in which the residents are motivated to train their minds through cognitive stimuli and their bodies through mobility exercises.
