Virtual-METS: Immersive technology to prevent cognitive decline
At Broomx, we are proud to be part of Virtual-METS, a pioneering project led by the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa (CST) with the support of La Marató de 3CAT, aimed at preventing cognitive decline in people with metabolic syndrome through innovative interventions and the use of immersive technology.

Innovation for brain health
Virtual-METS combines nutrition, physical exercise, mindfulness, cognitive stimulation, and immersive virtual reality to improve the metabolic and mental health of people aged 45 to 70. Immersive reality makes it possible to create motivating and therapeutic environments that enhance attention, memory, and emotional well-being—offering participants a transformative and engaging experience.

Impact and future
With funding of nearly €200,000 and a projected duration until 2027, the project aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of this multidisciplinary approach in slowing cognitive decline and improving quality of life.
At Broomx, we continue to champion immersive reality as a tool for health and well-being, collaborating with institutions like CST that share our vision of a future where technology is placed at the service of people.
