At Broomx, we believe technology truly makes sense when it serves people. A prime example is the Indaleci Losilla Day Centre (Fundació Hospital de Sant Celoni), which has just opened an immersive multisensory room to improve the well-being of people with cognitive decline. This project, supported by the “la Caixa” Foundation, represents a strong commitment to non-pharmacological therapies.

The MK1 projector: A window to well-being and stimulation

The driving force behind this environment is our MK1 immersive projector, which transforms the walls and ceiling into real-life landscapes like a forest or a beach. Inspired by the Snoezelen methodology, the room combines visual and acoustic stimuli along with textures to reduce anxiety, promote calmness, and stimulate memory. It is a proven solution that helps users reconnect with their surroundings in a safe environment.

More human, person-centered care

Sessions are guided by the centre’s professionals, who adapt each experience to the individual needs of the users. In this way, immersive technology becomes a daily tool to stimulate cognition, regulate behavior, and enhance socialization. With this new space, Sant Celoni places itself at the forefront of a more human, closer, and transformative social and healthcare model.

The Fundació Hospital de Sant Celoni highlights that this initiative represents “a step forward in incorporating innovative, high-quality services aligned with European best practices in sensory stimulation and dependency care.”

For Broomx, it is a pleasure to collaborate with the professional team at the Indaleci Losilla Day Centre (Hospital de Sant Celoni), providing immersive tools and new methodologies to improve care for older adults in Sant Celoni and the surrounding areas.
