At Broomx, we have always believed that immersive technology has a clear purpose: to transform person-centered care. Today, we are taking a decisive step forward in this mission by announcing our official incorporation as partners of the TECSAM Network. The Innovation Network of New Technologies in Mental Health (TECSAM) is a leading Catalan initiative funded by the Generalitat and coordinated by the Fundación Sant Joan de Déu. Its goal is clear: to identify disruptive technologies and ensure they are successfully integrated into the healthcare system.
What is the TECSAM Network?
TECSAM is an R&D&I powerhouse that acts as a strategic bridge between research and clinical practice. By joining this ecosystem, we connect with more than 60 research groups from top-tier hospitals and universities.
This network ensures that science doesn’t stay trapped in the lab. By bringing together scientists, patient associations, clinical professionals, and tech leaders, we accelerate the process of getting our solutions to those who need them most.

Beyond Technology: Humanizing Virtual Reality
One of the key reasons the TECSAM Network has welcomed Broomx is our unique approach: “headset-free” Virtual Reality.
While traditional VR can isolate the patient, our immersive technology (MK360, MK1, MK2), combined with our immersive content platform, fosters a shared experience. In mental health, the human bond with therapists and family members is fundamental to recovery. By removing the physical barriers of VR goggles, we place the person at the very center of the treatment.
Through this alliance, Broomx strengthens its position in the field of Digital Therapeutics (DTx), evolving from immersive visuals toward evidence-based clinical solutions.

Innovation in Action: Our Ongoing Projects
We aren’t just joining the network; we are already actively collaborating through high-impact clinical studies:
- Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa (CST): We are collaborating with Dr. Maite Garolera on neurorehabilitation and cognitive stimulation projects for oncology and long-term COVID patients. Some of these studies have already been published in high-impact medical journals.
- Hospital Vall d’Hebron: Under the direction of Dr. Ramos-Quiroga, we are implementing Immersive Mindfulness programs to improve the emotional well-being of healthcare professionals, as well as patients in the child and adolescent mental health unit.
- Sant Joan de Déu: We develop immersive programs to enhance the autonomy and mental health of young people in various settings, including art therapy projects and care for vulnerable groups.
Becoming part of TECSAM network is more than just a milestone for our team; it is a guarantee of trust for all healthcare institutions seeking innovative, validated, and—above all—human solutions.
