Northwell Health and Broomx humanize patient care with immersive technology

At Broomx, we believe that technology can play a powerful role in humanizing healthcare environments. We’re proud to be working closely with Northwell Health, one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States, to create immersive spaces that enhance patient experiences — particularly in palliative care units and pediatric hospitals.

Our collaboration focuses on designing calming, immersive environments tailored to the individual needs and preferences of patients. Using Broomx technology, we can transform ordinary hospital rooms into soothing, multisensory experiences that promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and help manage pain.

Early implementations at North Shore University Hospital have already delivered promising results. Patients have reported feeling more relaxed and less anxious after being immersed in relaxing and enjoyable content specifically created for these sensitive care settings. Although not all patients currently access this technology, anecdotal feedback has been highly positive. The project aims to expand access by identifying eligible patients across different hospital units, with social workers playing a key role in coordinating VR sessions. Patients and families will document their experiences, and the project plans to use pre- and post-intervention surveys (ESASr) to evaluate outcomes as part of ongoing research efforts.

Broomx joins Lenox Hill Hospital Gala Dinner to celebrate patient-centered innovation

In April 2025 we had the honor of participating in the Lenox Hill Hospital Annual Gala Dinner in New York, a celebration that brought together healthcare leaders, innovators, and advocates dedicated to improving patient care. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the meaningful impact of our work and the inspiring journey ahead.

We are truly grateful to be part of this transformative project, helping to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to patients when they need it most.

Stay tuned as we continue to expand our efforts and share new insights from this important collaboration.
