Prize-winning immersive speech therapy in partnership with ACAPPS

Broomx and ACAPPS, the Catalan Association of Families and Persons with Deafness, have bundled their forces to create immersive speech therapy for children and adults with hearing loss.

In the realm of speech therapy, conventional methods have long been the norm. Yet, as technology continues to advance, so too do the opportunities to revolutionize therapeutic approaches. Enter Audivers 360º – a pioneering project in speech therapy that harnesses the power of immersive reality to cater to both children and adults with hearing loss.

Diving into therapy

Audivers 360º sets out to transform traditional speech therapy sessions into immersive experiences, through the utilization of lifelike environments teeming with authentic sounds. Individuals are really submerged into a world that enhances their therapeutic journey.

Crafting immersive scenarios

Broomx has been instrumental in this project, crafting diverse scenarios that users can seamlessly immerse themselves in. By allowing individuals to participate in different scenarios and environments that take place in society and learn to cope with these events, they can actively rehabilitate their vocal and auditory skills. The large and modern contrast to traditional speech therapy provides a motivating and enjoyable environment for children and adults with deafness, which should then eventually allow for greater progress.

Boosting confidence

and well-being

Besides strengthening individuals’ aural and vocal skills, it also has the effect of making them feel more confident to express themselves. Which, in turn, should begin to improve their mental well-being. The better they start being able and daring to express themselves, the greater the social acceptance will be among the hearing impaired.

Graustic 2023 Prize

Although the project is still in its pilot phase, it has already received the Graustic 2023 Prize for Social Integration through Digitalization. Broomx feels honored to be part of this progressive project in the field of speech therapy.
